Alongside him, there is a significant representation of Italian players in the inaugural edition of the tournament featuring a 96-player draw: there are already seven, pending the conclusion of the qualifiers. This marks a record number of Italians among the seeded players (5: a first in a “1000” or a Slam): besides Sinner, there are Lorenzo Musetti (No. 9), Flavio Cobolli (16), Luciano Darderi (30), and Lorenzo Sonego (32), all receiving byes in the first round. Sinner will face the winner of a qualifier or the Czech Kopriva in the second round; Musetti could be facing a derby against either Arnaldi or the French player Bonzi.

A potential quarter-final clash looms between the top two Italians in the world rankings. Cobolli debuts against a qualifier or Japanese player Nishioka, Darderi faces the Argentine Comesana or Spaniard Munar, while Sonego meets Belgian Bergs or Briton Farnley. In addition to Arnaldi, Matteo Bellucci will also be competing in the first round against Bosnian Dzumhur.
