“In the area of emission reductions, we have added renewable energy sources amounting to over 14 GW in the past two years. Since the beginning of this legislative term, we have reached a total of 28 GW, a record compared to previous governments – he explains -. As for adaptation, we have approved the Pnacc in 2023, after years of delays. This includes a set of measures, some of which have received funding. For example, my ministry is responsible for the planting of 3.5 million trees, as well as the energy efficiency improvements of public housing buildings, with an investment of 1.95 billion euros allocated by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.”

We cannot expect this government to miraculously solve a problem of global proportions.”
According to the minister, “We need actions that involve not only the central government but also the Regions and local areas. Plus, we must consider individual behaviors. Unfortunately, all of this cannot be resolved with a decree that makes it rain or less.”
