TORINO (ITALPRESS) – “Suzuki is thankful to the municipal administration and to Torino Calcio for allowing us to make a positive impact. Together with Toro, we have decided to enhance the local park, which will benefit the youth teams of the club, by creating a small forest of over 60 native trees, including maples, holm oaks, and beeches. This initiative allows Suzuki to give back to the many customers in Turin,” stated Massimo Nalli, president and CEO of Suzuki Italia, during the tree planting event in front of the Robaldo sports facility in Turin, where the youth team trains and which is currently undergoing renovation. The first 30 trees have been planted in recent hours, and in the coming weeks, the total will increase to 68. The event was also attended by Torino players Vanja Milinkovic-Savic and Gvidas Gineitis, while the city of Turin was represented by the sports councilor, Mimmo Carretta. The Piedmont capital has always been home to Suzuki Italia and is twinned with Nagoya, the closest metropolis to Hamamatsu, Japan. Overall, through this latest project, Suzuki has planted 234 tall trees across parks and green areas in Turin. This is an initiative that Suzuki is implementing throughout Italy. “Thanks to all our dealers, we have surpassed 1,100 trees planted,” added Nalli. “While this effort won’t save the planet, if everyone contributed in their own way, we could make a difference.”
