URSO “HISTORIC MOMENT”
“Historic moment: over fifty years after the Apollo missions, humanity returns to orbit around the Moon.” This statement was made by the Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy and Delegate Authority for Space and Aerospace Policies, Sen. Adolfo Urso, while commenting on the launch of Artemis II from Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida. “Italy – Urso further stated – will play a key role in this new phase of lunar exploration. Just a few hours ago in Washington, I signed a Statement of Intent with the NASA Administrator regarding cooperation for lunar surface activities, reinforcing our country’s role in the new lunar race. This is an important recognition of the excellence of the Italian industry tasked with creating living modules to ensure a safe and prolonged presence of astronauts on the Moon. Today, Italy reaches for the skies with pride and ambition.”
