Cantiere sulla Tosco-Romagnola: l’intervento della Lega a Cascina

Maria Pia Morella, the new commissioner of the Lega Cascina, addresses the situation at the intersection of Tosco Romagnola and via Kennedy in the Casciavola area.

“Last Monday, a road construction site was opened, but following the first day of work, the activities halted, leaving the area fenced off with no operational presence – states Morella in a note – . This situation is causing severe disruptions: on one hand, motorists are forced to navigate with alternating one-way traffic, and on the other hand, local merchants are experiencing significant losses due to the difficulty of access, lack of parking, and congested traffic. Some business owners have informed me that if the inconvenience continues, they may seriously have to close down: their revenues have already dropped by over 50%.”

“I wonder: is it acceptable for a construction site to remain open for days without anyone working? Should we not demand a more efficient management from the companies involved, minimizing the disruptions for citizens and businesses?”

Morella also critically addresses the planned interruption of the water supply on March 25, for which, according to her, there is insufficient informative action from the Municipality.

“I personally checked the official website, and there was no mention of any communication regarding this matter,” says the commissioner, who concludes, “I therefore request greater transparency, more effective communication, and a more responsible management of situations that heavily impact the daily lives of citizens and the local economy.”
