MILAN (ITALPRESS) – Integrated multimodal Artificial Intelligence designed to enhance the user experience between smartphones and users was showcased by Samsung Electronics at the Unpacked event held in San Jose, California, where they unveiled the new Galaxy S25. The device comes in three versions: S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. With One UI 7, the latest addition to the Samsung S series can understand user needs and preferences, providing tailored AI experiences while ensuring privacy.
“With the S25, we are making another leap forward in integrated Artificial Intelligence, providing users with a smoother, more natural, and simplified experience,” explained Nicolò Bellorini, Vice President of the Mobile eXperience Business Division at Samsung Electronics Italy during a press preview in Milan. “This is possible due to significant innovations in our user interface, One UI 7, and Galaxy AI. The S25’s multimodal capability allows it to effectively comprehend voice, sounds, images, text, videos, PDFs, and any other input one might provide. Another major innovation,” he continued, “is the enhanced AI agents. The Samsung Galaxy S25 can perform complex tasks seamlessly across various apps. For instance, you can ask the device in natural language to find the train schedules you need, add them to your calendar, and send an email to a friend summarizing your trip. This will be done automatically through different apps based on what was merely a natural language request.”
With a simple press of the side button, Gemini, Google’s chatbot, activates to perform cross-app actions fluidly, whether in Samsung and Google applications or third-party apps like Spotify and WhatsApp.
Another feature is the “Now Bar,” which appears at the bottom of the lock screen and is connected to the “Now Brief” function: “It essentially acts as a daily assistant, helping the user stay updated or remember daily tasks if they want or need to. For example,” Bellorini stated, “in the morning it will succinctly inform me about my sleep quality and remind me of upcoming appointments. The Galaxy S25 learns from the user and customizes suggestions for the most relevant information.”
On the Galaxy S25, the Personal Data Engine powers personalized AI features by securely analyzing data to offer customized experiences that reflect user preferences and usage patterns. These insights are applied across multiple apps, and privacy is ensured: all personalized data is kept private, with the encryption key securely held in the Knox Vault.
For creators and video/photo enthusiasts, the S25 provides enhanced tools compared to previous S series models. “On the Galaxy S25, the cameras have been further improved,” he explained. “The major upgrade is the 50 MP ultra-wide camera, complementing the 200 MP main camera and 50 MP telephoto lens, forming a comprehensive photography setup capable of capturing every detail in any lighting condition. Additionally, the Galaxy S25 features built-in tools for simplified yet powerful on-device post-production and video editing.” The “Audio Adjustment” feature effectively removes unwanted noise by isolating categories of sounds like voices, crowds, wind, music, and background noise.
“The greatest innovations reflect their users, which is why we have evolved Galaxy AI to help everyone interact with their devices effortlessly and naturally,” declared TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics. “The Galaxy S25 series paves the way for a true AI-based operating system, bringing about a fundamental change not only in how we use technology but also in how we live.”
