MODENA (ITALPRESS) – The Maserati GranCabrio lineup takes center stage at The I.C.E. St. Moritz, where the new 490 HP version of the GranCabrio was unveiled on Friday, February 21, 2025. This engine, already available in the GranTurismo, completes the lineup by combining the performance and comfort characteristics of the coupe with the open-air driving experience. Additionally, the unique GranCabrio Trofeo ONE of ONE – THE ICE, designed through the Maserati Fuoriserie customization program, was also revealed. The essence of “Italian granturismo” in an open format, paired with the signature performance of the Modena brand, presents an exceptionally comprehensive offering—the broadest ever for a Maserati convertible—now available with both a TWIN TURBO internal combustion engine in 490 HP and 550 HP Trofeo versions, as well as the 100% electric Folgore propulsion. Set against the backdrop of The I.C.E., surrounded by snow-capped mountains and on the famous frozen lake of Engadin, the displayed GranCabrio features a Giada Green body color, black brake calipers, and 20″ (front) and 21″ (rear) Crio (Imola) diamond cut glossy black wheels. Inside, it boasts perforated full-grain leather in ice color, with the Maserati Trident logo embroidered on the headrests. The showcased model is also equipped with a high-premium 19-speaker Sonus Faber audio system, 3D carbon finishes, and dark-finish adaptive full LED headlights.
This GranCabrio version is a stylish icon and a perfect embodiment of pure performance, showcasing refined details such as the retractable soft top for the ultimate open-air experience. It offers real four-seat comfort necessary for long journeys, while the 3.0-liter V6 Nettuno Twin Turbo engine provides the capability to reach 300 km/h, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds. Like the Trofeo, the 490 HP variant comes standard with all-wheel drive (AWD) and air suspension to ensure maximum performance without sacrificing comfort, true to the “granturismo” spirit. Maserati consistently places the customer at the heart of every decision-making process, and the entire GranCabrio lineup exemplifies this ethos: to cater to the most discerning customers, the color palette is refreshed and expanded with elegant hues like Giada Green.
Moreover, to satisfy more sporty clients, starting in March, the new Sport Exhaust will be available for order through the official Maserati dealer network. This feature will deliver purer and more exhilarating sound to the GranTurismo and GranCabrio Trofeo lineup, highlighting some of the brand’s iconic characteristics: its unmistakable sound and racing DNA.
Maserati symbolizes Italian luxury worldwide, and to express this concept at the highest level, during the 2025 edition of The I.C.E. St. Moritz, the special GranCabrio Trofeo ONE of ONE – THE ICE was unveiled—a unique vehicle created through the Maserati Fuoriserie customization program. Dedicated to the winter charm, the GranCabrio Trofeo ONE of ONE – THE ICE showcases exterior features in a bespoke color named Ice Liquid tri-coat, a rich and refined tri-layer that echoes the setting of the frozen lake where it was first revealed to the public. Complementing the exterior are distinctive badges and contrasting side air intakes in glossy white, along with forged wheels featuring Astreo design paired with glossy blue brake calipers. Finishing off the customization is the Blue Marine roof, which, when opened, reveals the stunning ice-colored leather interior and 3D touch carbon finishes.
The Trident brand is a standout at one of the winter season’s most glamorous events. Snowy landscapes, glamour, and motors. The I.C.E. is not just a competition; it is a unique event that blends culture, entertainment, and driving in extreme conditions, offering an unmissable opportunity for car enthusiasts, collectors, and automotive lovers alike. Maserati “broke the ice,” showcasing its lineup in the spirit of “Italian granturismo” alongside the brand’s performance.
The GranTurismo and GranCabrio, featuring standard all-wheel drive across all versions, command the snowy roads and excel in ice driving activities, merging performance and driving pleasure without compromise, even in the most challenging conditions.
The Grecale takes to the streets of St. Moritz, while the MCXtrema and the new Maserati GT2 Stradale are on display to underline the brand’s racing and competitive DNA. Lastly, historical vehicles like the Maserati 6CM and Maserati 200 SI are participating in the International Concours of Elegance.
