ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Recently, the distribution of Italian food aid to the population of Gaza marked the completion of the second cycle of donations from agricultural companies in our country.
Confagricoltura, in collaboration with the non-profit organization Senior-L’Età della Saggezza, “is reaffirming its position as the leading contributor to the humanitarian initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in this project, with 14 tons of food from a total of 19 sent. This aid primarily consists of rice, canned goods, and wheat flour,” states a press release.
The initiative began last March under the direction of MAECI, in cooperation with the UN, Red Cross, Islamic Red Crescent, and World Food Program.
Last summer, companies associated with Confagricoltura had already collected the most significant portion, delivering 31 tons of food out of a total of 45 distributed.
