ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Mercedes-AMG refreshes the GLE 53 4MATIC+ lineup, introducing technical, stylistic, and dynamic advancements applicable to both mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions. The new SUVs and Coupés are now available for order in Italy, with starting prices set at 118,217 euros for the GLE 53 4MATIC+ and 127,651 euros for the GLE 53 Hybrid 4MATIC+, both offered in Advanced Plus and Premium trims. Central to this update is the 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine, which has been enhanced with a new head, a revised fuel system, and an improved intercooler for better responsiveness and rpm capability. The mild hybrid version delivers 449 HP and 600 Nm of torque, assisted by an integrated starter-generator capable of providing a temporary boost of 23 HP. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. The plug-in hybrid model combines the six-cylinder with a 184 HP electric motor, achieving a total output of 585 HP and 750 Nm of torque. The GLE 53 Hybrid 4MATIC+ speeds from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and can operate in fully electric mode up to 140 km/h, with a WLTP range of up to 93 kilometers.
On the aesthetic front, a redesigned front fascia features a new AMG grille, updated air intakes, and revised LED headlights. The rear lights also showcase a newly designed lighting signature.
